We Handle The Insurance Hassle
Dealing with property damage is stressful enough. We provide organized documentation you can share with your insurance carrier and adjuster.
Direct Insurance Billing
FastDry Water Damage & Restoration works with all major homeowners and commercial property insurance providers in Texas. We use industry-standard pricing software (Xactimate) that adjusters recognize and approve, ensuring transparent and fair pricing for your claim.
Your policy and carrier determine what is covered, what deductible applies, and which repairs are authorized. We do not decide coverage or guarantee a claim outcome. We do help make the restoration story easier to follow by recording the condition we find, the work performed, and the materials or areas that required attention.
Important: Act Fast
Most insurance policies require you to mitigate damage as quickly as possible. Waiting to call a restoration company while you try to reach your adjuster can result in denied claims for secondary damage (like mold). Call us first to stop the damage.
Our Claims Process
Detailed Documentation
We take extensive photos before, during, and after mitigation. We document moisture readings to prove the necessity of drying equipment.
Adjuster Communication
We meet with the insurance adjuster on-site to walk them through the damage and our mitigation strategy, advocating for your property.
Direct Billing
You only pay your deductible. We bill the insurance company directly for the remainder of the covered mitigation and repair work.
Information to keep together
When you call your carrier, ask how to open a claim and request a claim number. Keep that number, your adjuster’s contact information, policy details, photographs, receipts for reasonable emergency purchases, and notes about when the loss occurred in one place. Tell FastDry about prior repairs or areas that were already affected so the documentation remains accurate.
Mitigation and repairs are related but not always the same phase. We can explain what needs immediate attention to limit additional damage and what may wait for an agreed repair scope. If an adjuster has not visited yet, do not postpone urgent steps that protect the property; instead, keep photos and records of the condition before, during, and after the work.
Questions are welcome
Claims can involve unfamiliar terms, multiple vendors, and decisions under pressure. Ask us what a document means, what part of the work is mitigation, and which questions belong with your carrier. We will explain our scope and records as clearly as possible, while leaving policy interpretation and coverage decisions to the insurer.
Start with the carrier’s instructions, keep copies of what you send, and share changes in the property condition promptly. Organized information helps everyone discuss the same loss.
If the cause is unclear, describe the facts without guessing: where water appeared, what fixtures or weather events preceded it, and what changed afterward. A simple timeline can be more useful than an assumption about responsibility or coverage.
